SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO INFRARED SAUNA USE

Special heating elements provide body heating in infrared saunas, infrared emitters. They make up infrared sauna equipment. Infrared radiation, as opposed to traditional sauna, passes through the air without heating it, and enters directly into the human body to a depth of several centimeters. This is why, the human body actively sweats in the infrared sauna in comfortable conditions (temperature is just 40-55 C). To get optimal effect in the infrared sauna is necessary to spend only 20 to 30 minutes a day.

Previously, it was believed that infrared rays have no chemical, biological or direct physiological actions on tissues, and the effect produced by them is based on their penetration and absorption of tissues, resulting that the infrared rays were believed to have, essentially, the role of the thermal matter. The effect of infrared rays came down to indirect efficiency – change of thermal gradient in the skin or on its surface.

For the first time biological effect of infrared saunas was found in relation to culture cells, plants, animals. In most cases the development of microflora was suppressed. With people and animals increased blood flow, and as a consequence, improved exchange processes. It has been shown that infrared saunas have pain reliever, antispazmodic, anti-inflammatory, circulatory, stimulating effects.

Researchers noted that infrared saunas improve blood circulation and hyperaemia caused by infrared rays has an analgesic effect. It was noted that surgery intervention, carried out in the infrared radiation has advantages - postoperative pain is carried over easier, and faster happens the cells regenerations. In addition, infrared rays, apparently prevent internal cooling in the case of an open abdomen. Infrared rays help reduce the activity of toxic chemicals.

Thus, based on these discoveries Japanese scientists in the 60th years received a patent for emitters of a particular design, which were subsequently used in infrared saunas. Collaborative researches conducted over decades among the world's leading hospitals, have proven the obvious advantages of infrared saunas. The infrared therapy has proved to be very effective and efficient not only to combat flu disease, but also for weight loss and cellulite treatment.

Therefore, all the talks of infrared radiation and saunas being dangerous to the health are not more than fantasy.
